Music The Shaped My Life. Gigolo Tony

Hey ma! from now on I want you to call me Gigolo Tony.....what does Gigolo mean anyway? - me at 12(or so)

If you are in your early 30's and from Alabama, Georgia or Florida and don't know who Gigolo Tony is then swim in a sharks mouth. This song was an instant classic. Anytime you can say whatever pops in your head while recording and it sounds good can be nothing less than a classic.

'My ma'ma, yo ma'ma hangin out clothes, my ma'am socked yo ma'ma in the nose. Did it hurt?' - Gigolo Tony

I remember Gigolo Tony. He lived across the street from the middle school I use to attend known as Parkway Middle in Fort Lauderdale. Rumor had it a kid on his street wrote that piece for him. The label he was on was called 4 Sight Records located in the Lauderhill Mall in the backroom of their record shop. 4 Sight was also known for MC Shy D and MCADE. All three are pioneers creating the Miami Bass sound along with Dynamix II, 2 Live Crew, Triple M DJs, Ghetto Style DJs, Afro Rican, Jam Pony Express, Debonaire, Maggotron, and CM Express.

Good looking out on that oldie!
